A composition in pieces

5-panel caps

Make every panel intentional.

An uninterrupted front, a top plane and paired side panels create a different canvas for your identity. Map the fabric and color before sampling.

Design reference

Canvas camp cap

A canvas camp-cap direction with a broad front panel and a restrained flat-brim profile. The panel arrangement offers a distinct setting for a woven label or simple embroidery. Use front and side references to define the exact silhouette rather than relying on the five-panel name.

02 / Design referenceAI-generated nylon camp cap design reference illustrating low camp profile / compact brim
Design reference

Nylon camp cap

A nylon camp-cap concept with a clean surface and a compact graphic. It explores a lighter-looking material direction for an outdoor-inspired collection. The concept does not imply waterproofing, UV protection or certified performance; any functional requirement needs its own specification and verification.

03 / Design referenceAI-generated color-block camp cap design reference illustrating panel-led camp profile
Design reference

Color-block camp cap

A five-panel concept that uses the construction as a color map. A light front, darker sides and contrasting brim can form a clear visual system. The key is assigning every piece and trim to a deliberate palette, then reviewing the arrangement from all sides.

Panel-led camp profile

Multi-color woven fabric direction

04 / Design referenceAI-generated corduroy camp cap design reference illustrating soft camp crown / flat brim
Design reference

Corduroy camp cap

A corduroy camp-cap direction combining a broad front with a ribbed surface. The texture changes how the panel geometry reads, so rib orientation, crown depth and branding should be developed as a single design. A restrained label lets the material remain the focal point.

From your reference to a production brief

A front panel with room for a point of view.

A single front surface makes artwork scale a visible design decision. Panel colors and material direction can reinforce that graphic or keep the rest of the cap quiet. Specify the complete arrangement in one brief.

YOUR HAT / OUR MANUFACTURING

Build character panel by panel.

A five-panel cap gives the front graphic a continuous surface. We develop its top and side proportions, visor and closure together, with OEM or ODM support from your starting reference.

Map the panel relationships

Define front height, top length and side shape as a complete silhouette. Use the sample to discuss the fit instead of relying on a flat outline.

Preserve the intended panel relationships

An OEM reference should show the front height and the way the upper and side panels meet. Identify the current revision so an older drawing does not override the agreed fit.

Develop material and graphic together

For a new concept, name material and color for each panel. Compare the graphic on the assembled front, where the seam and visor junction change the usable visual space.

100% inspection

Carry the identity through.

The continuous front surface gives the graphic room, but the rest of the cap still needs a complete identity. Name side marks, rear details and inside labels without treating them as copies of the front artwork.

Your buying brief / 5-panel caps

Build the brief panel by panel.

Use named panels and clear reference views so color blocking and graphic placement survive the move from concept to sample.

Three decisions to bring into sampling

01

Separate panel count from crown shape

Five panels do not define one universal fit. Compare the height of the front, the length of the top panel and the way the sides sit in your reference.

Bring: front and side views with your preferred proportions.
02

Map the color blocking

Assign a fabric and color to the front, top, sides and brim. Identify matching panels explicitly so a color-block concept is not interpreted as an all-over colorway.

Bring: a panel-by-panel material and color map.
03

Give the front graphic room to work

Specify the finished artwork size and its relationship to the seams and brim. Review the mark on the assembled sample, where the surface differs from a flat artwork file.

Bring: artwork dimensions and a placement reference.

Practical buying answers

Before you commit to a sample

Is every five-panel cap the same shape?

No. Panel arrangement, crown depth and brim proportions vary. A front and side reference communicates more than the five-panel name alone. Mark the features you want to retain before the sample is developed.

Can I bring an existing tech pack?

Yes. We support OEM development from your specification. Include its revision date, measurements, material assignments, artwork and trim details; identify any areas you want to change so an older reference does not override the current brief.

What if the design uses different fabrics on different panels?

Identify each fabric on a panel map and explain the intended overall shape. Review the junctions and assembled fit in sampling, because different material weights and textures can affect how the panels sit together.
